PRiME PARTNERSHIPS
We’re proud to work with excellent academics, schools, and nonprofits on the following initiatives:
SAINT LOUIS TRANSLATIONAL FELLOWS IN EDUCATION
SAINT LOUIS TRANSLATIONAL FELLOWS IN EDUCATION
Translational Fellows spend two years rotating between spaces within Saint Louis Public Schools, Ritenour School District, and Confluence Academies. During their rotations, the fellows learn from practitioners, researchers, and each other, before ultimately designing research projects to meet school needs. PRiME is excited to support this collaborative equity-building initiative alongside SKIP DesignED, the Saint Louis Research Practice Collaborative, and Washington University’s Institute for School Partnership.
Saint Louis Public Schools Partnership
Saint Louis Public Schools Partnership
Together, PRiME and Saint Louis Public Schools employ a few researchers to analyze data, evaluate programs, and offer professional development in support of educators and school leaders. We are grateful for this opportunity to work closely with our neighborhood district on research relevant to our community’s kids, all while building the next generation of education data scientists.
Summer Research Grant Competition
Summer Research Grant Competition
Each summer, the PRiME Center supports selected research projects that aim to answer important questions related to Missouri’s education system. Grant recipients produce original research and present their findings at an annual webinar. Our 2023 grantees are working on the following research questions: - How have Saint Louis school districts historically decided which schools to close, and how might we more equitably and transparently make future closure decisions? - How do four-day school weeks affect district-wide teacher shortages across Missouri? - How might a lack of parental leave benefits and accommodations affect Missouri’s teacher turnover?
